A graveside service for Dolores Anne Hozey Almuhja, Age 91, will be held at Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh, NC on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at 2:00 PM.  Rev. Bruce Hancock will officiate.  Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 1201 Broad Street, Camden, SC 29020.

Dolores died on September 28, 2023, in Camden, SC.  Born in Anderson, SC on March 6, 1932, she was the daughter of Floyd A. Hozey and Annie Laura Laney Hozey and the wife of the late Jeff Almuhja.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Camden.

Dolores spent much of her life in Raleigh before moving to Camden in 2011.  While in Raleigh she worked at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceutical Company where she made lasting friendships.  She enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, cooking, gardening, reading, working jigsaw puzzles, and decorating her home for every holiday.  She had a heart for children and adored her four great-grandsons.  She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Dolores is survived by daughters, Patricia Hancock (Bruce), of Camden, SC, and Deborah Selinsky of Durham, NC; step-daughter, Susan Heath of Snow Hill, NC; granddaughters, Meredith Hancock, of Durham, NC, Erica Redfearn (Joe), of Camden, SC; great-grandsons, Noah, Miles, Ellis, and Hayes Redfearn, of Camden, SC; sisters, Connie Fuller, Linda Chambers, and  Donna Davis; niece, Laura Thompson; nephews, Terry Fuller and Greg Chambers, all of Anderson, SC.

In addition to her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Jeff Almuhja; daughter, Lannette Collins, and brother, Lane Hozey.
