Obituary of Frances Lee Hudson

WINNSBORO – Frances L. Hudson, 79, of Winnsboro, went home to her Heavenly Father on Monday, October 9, 2023.  She was the daughter of the late Ross B. Truesdale and Rosa L. Medlin.

Mrs. Hudson loved dancing, beach music, cooking (fudge was her specialty), spending time with her family during the holiday season, and Gamecock Football. Most of all, Mrs. Hudson loved her family and her Lord.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Audrey Seamon (Lonnie), Dawn McDonald (Lester), and Christon Gaddy (James III); 7 grandchildren, Jessica Adams, Robert McDonald, Lesley Baughman, Shana Hudson, Kayla Hudson, T.J. Hudson, and Brittany Capps, many great-grandchildren; and siblings, RB Truesdale, Mary Alice Love, and Carolyn Gibson. In addition to her parents, Frances was predeceased by her husband, Vernon L. Hudson; son, Vernon L. Hudson, Jr. (Tommy); sister, Gloria Moore; and great-granddaughter, Ava Capps.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Oaklawn Cemetery in Winnsboro, S.C.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 9:00 – 10:00 am.
