Columbia, South Carolina – Nancy Jo Morgan, 82, passed away on October 20, 2022. She was born on June 23, 1940 in Peru, Indiana.
Nancy was a 1962 graduate of Purdue University with a B.S. in Home Economic Education. She also earned a Master’s degree in Education from the University of South Carolina. She was a teacher for two years at North White High School in Monon, Indiana, a teacher for four years at Nicolet High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and a teacher for five years at E.L. Wright Middle School in Columbia, South Carolina. While earning her Educational Specialist’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of South Carolina, she worked at Sistercare in Columbia. She was a school counselor at Hopkins Middle School in Hopkins, South Carolina for fifteen years.
Nancy was active in various church and civic organizations. She was a member of the Windsor United Methodist Church, Alpha Xi Delta Sorority and P.E.O. Chapter C.
Nancy touched the spirits of countless individuals in both her personal and professional life. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
Nancy is survived by her children, Michael of Blythewood, South Carolina and Jeffrey and his wife Elaine of Elgin, South Carolina as well as two grandchildren, Ty Cooper Morgan and Macy Jo Morgan. In addition to her parents, Kenneth and Mildred Hahn, she was predeceased by her brother, Rex Hahn.
