Funeral services to honor James William Harre, Sr. will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 30, 2023, at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel.  Burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park will follow.  Military Honors will be presented graveside.  Dr. Andrew Weems will officiate.  Memorials may be made to MUSC Kershaw Hospice, 1165 US-1 #400, Lugoff, SC 29078, or Back the Pack, Rock Hill School District #3, Attn: S. James William Harre, Sr. passed away October 26, 2023.  He was born in Forest City, MO, the son of the late Melvin Harre and Wilma Prussman Harre.  James served in the United States Air Force.

James is survived by his son, Buddy Harre (Donna), of Camden; daughter, Betsy Drew (Dale), of Rock Hill; grandchildren, Katie, Bradley, Bobby, Jamie, Chris, Jon, Justin, Byron, and Will; great-grandchildren, Kirsten, Ethan, Wyatt, Lorelai, Gwendolyn, Olivia, Adeline, Charley, J.W., Laney, Alyssa and Raelyn; sister-in-law, Kate Lee Turbeville and special friend, Virginia Williams.

In addition to his parents and his wife of 57 years, Mary Elizabeth Lee “Lib” Harre, James was predeceased by his daughter-in-law, Gail McCaskill Harre.
