CANDLER, N. C.

Mrs. Clydie Louella Pace Wood, 76, widow of the Rev. Lewis Wood, died Thursday.

Born in Seneca, S. C., she was a daughter of the late James Henry and Matta Waldt Pace. She made her home in Columbia, S. C., for many years when her husband was a Baptist minister in the area. She was a former sales clerk for the F. W. Woolworth Co., Columbia.

She moved to Candler from Columbia in 1984 and was a member of the New Morgan Hill Baptist Church, Candler.

Surviving are daughter, Nancy R. Coley of Candler; sons, Fred H Wood of Glasgow, Ky., Bobby L. Wood of Greenville, S.C., and Ronald P. Wood of Kissimmee, Fla.; sisters, Lela Thompson of Easley, S. C., Ella Martin of Seneca, Lena Sheriff of Central and Ellen Golding of Waterloo, S.C.; a brother, Harvey Pace of Easley; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 7 p.m. today at Anders-Rice Funeral Home, Asheville. Another service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Columbia.

The family will receive friends following the services in Columbia.
