Betty Earline Jacobs LeGrand, 86, of Pontiac, died Monday, November 3, 2014. Born on September 3, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Evetta Jacobs. Earline was a 1945 graduate of Dentsville High School.
She is survived by her sons, Wayne (Pauline) LeGrand, Gerald LeGrand, J.L. (Debra) LeGrand, and Swayze (Debra) LeGrand; as well as 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. In addition to her parents, Earline was preceded in death by her loving husband, Melvin McCoy LeGrand; a brother, Otto Jacobs; and sisters, Annette Barton and Eloise Jacobs.
The graveside service for Mrs. LeGrand will be held at 3 o’clock Thursday, November 6, 2014, at Killian Baptist Church Cemetery, with Mr. Horace LeGrand officiating. The family suggests memorials be made to Spears Creek Baptist Church, 116 Spears Creek Church Ln, Elgin, SC 29045.
