Mrs. Sexton Complimented

Mrs. Douglas Sexton, the former Miss Lois Jacobs, was entertained recently at a shower given by her mother, Mrs. Laura Jacobs.

The living and dining rooms, which were thrown en suite, were attractively decorated with lovely garden flowers. The highlight of the evening was giving “advice to the bride” – an attractive booklet in which each guest gave her personal advice and which was later read aloud by Miss Juanita Patterson.

The young bride was given a lovely chest of silver by her mother.

The hostess served ice cream and cakes.

Those attending were: Mrs. J. A. Riley, Mrs. Ware Carns, Mrs. George Sceley, Mrs. T. A. Wilson, Mrs. Henry Koon, Mrs. Horace Jacobs, Mrs. Earl Jacobs, Mrs. Ray Hornsby, Mrs. Mallie Cooper, Mrs. Wilton Jacobs, Mrs. Willie Jacobs, Miss Juanita Paterson, Miss Chrisable Mayfield, Miss Kate Hightower, Miss Jennie Wilson, Miss Nettie Turner, Miss Annette Jacobs, Mrs. William Smith of (?) Mich., Miss Eloise Jacobs, Miss. Earline Jacobs, Little Sylvia Jacobs; and Miss Wilma Lathan.
