Brenda Hudson Obituary

Brenda Roberts Hudson, 82, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.  Brenda peacefully reunited with loved ones who had gone before and whom she missed dearly.

Brenda was born July 29, 1941, to Gilbert E. Roberts and Azile Daughrity Roberts in Charlotte, NC. She married her high school sweetheart and forever love John Allen Hudson on July 2, 1959.  She was loved by all who knew her.

Brenda is survived by her daughter, Cheryl “Cheri” Passey and son- in -law, Paul, of Myrtle Beach; son, John “Allen” Hudson, Jr. and daughter in- law, Karolyn of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Andrew, Phillip, Shawna, Stephanie, Kevin, Scott, Ryan, Erynn, Josh and Allie, and 21 great-grandchildren. Brenda was also honorary grandmother to Matt and Maralyn Beck of Albuquerque NM.

In addition to her parents and husband, Brenda was preceded in death by a grandson, Reagan Blake Passey; great-grandson Camden Aaron Webb; and brother, Gil E. Roberts, Jr.

Family graveside funeral services will be held on Monday, March 25, 2024, in Quaker Cemetery, Camden, S.C. at 12:30 PM, with visitation being held from 11:00 AM- 12:00 Noon at Kornegay Funeral Home, 1112 Fair Street, Camden. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Thiel-Meyer Animal Shelter, 128 Black River Road, Camden, SC 29020.

 Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
