Miss Milwee Medlin became the bride of Joe T. Youngblood in double ring ceremony which took place at 3 p.m. August 7 at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Medlin on Route 3, Columbia. The Rev. M. V. Horne, paster of the bride, officiated before an improvised altar of ferns and white gladioli arranged in the living room.
A program of nuptial music was rendered by Mrs. Marion Horne, pianist, and Marion Horne, vocalist.
The bride wore a bruce-blue satin dress with navy blue accessories and an orchid corsage.
Immediately following the ceremony a reception was given by the bride’s sister, Mrs. Roy Hornsby, at her home.
Later in the evening the bridal couple left for their wedding trip to Folly Beach. They have now returned to Columbia and are making their home at 204 Partridge drive.
Mrs. Youngblood was graduated from Dentsville high school and attended Dickerson secretarial school in Columbia. For the past several years she has been employed with the Quartermaster Property Office at Fort Jackson.
Mr. Youngblood is the son of Mrs. Mattie Youngblood of Aiken. He was graduated from Wagener high school and is now stationed at Fort Jackson.
