Toni Powers Jacobs of Duluth, Ga., and Brandon David Goff of Elgin were married August 20, 2005, at First Baptist Church of West Columbia. Pastor Lonnie H. Shull, Jr., performed the 6 p.m. ceremony. A reception followed at the Columbia Museum of Art.
The bride daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Thomas Jacobs of Lexington, is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Horace Tillman Jacobs (Clara Mae Jacobs) of Pontiac and Mrs. Pauline Powers Thompson and the late Mr. Will Lesene Thompson. both of West Columbia. She earned a B. S. in exercise science from the University of South Carolina and is currently the area director for Ladies Choice Fitness Centers in Columbia.
The groom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Byron Goff of Camden and Mrs. Bonnie Inabinet of Elgin, is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul Otis Goff (Evelyn Pearl Goff) of Elgin and Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Malcolm Inabinet of Orangeburg. He earned a J. D. /M. B. A. from the University of South Carolina and is currently employed with Nationwide Insurance.
Matrons of honor were Taunya Jacobs Haun and Trina Jacobs Strawhorn, sisters of the bride.
Attendants were Lori Denise Luxmore, Allison Nicole Kinnie, Jan Jeffcoat Kingsley and Morgan Elizabeth McGriff.
Best man was Byron Goff, father of the groom. Groomsmen were Ryan Edward Jones, Joseph Michael Rigsby, Douglas Martin, Robert Evander McNair III and John Cuyler Hawkes.
After a honeymoon in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple will reside in Elgin.
