Nature Convention

The business meeting in connection with the two-day convention of the South Carolina Association of Nature Study will be held at 3 o’clock tomorrow afternoon in the Woodrow Memorial auditorium at the Columbia YMCA.

The committee on nominations of association officers will include Frank C. Merck of Grover, Miss Becky Jane White of Fountain Inn and Miss Betty Jane Byrnes of Columbia.

The public meeting and genral gathering will be held at 7:30 o’clock tomorrow night in Lindsay hall at the First Baptist church.

J. Kenneth Morris of Columbia, vice president of the state organization, will reside and Robert F. Cochran, Jr., of the Columbia Youth for Christ, will bring the invocation.

Miss Sylvia Jacobs, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Horace T. Jacobs (Clara Mae Jacobs), will read the scripture.

Billy Woods will sing and speakers of the evening will include John Culler and Dr. Milton Beckwith. The concluding solo will be by Pat Dillary.

Sectional meetings will be held both Friday and Saturday and at 4:30 o’clock tomorrow the members will attend the Arbor Day event at Valley Park.
