Jacobs – Daughtry Wedding

Mr. and Mrs. Horace T. Jacobs (Clara Mae Jacobs) of Columbia announce the marriage of their daughter, Sylvia Yvonne, to Frank D. Daughtry of Atlanta, Ga., son of Mr. and Mrs. V. L. Daughtry, Sr., of Adel, Ga.

The double-ring ceremony was preformed Oct. 8, 1958, at 6:30 p.m. in the First Methodist Church of Decatur, Ga., with the Rev. Frank Crawley, pastor of the bridegroom, officiating. The bride wore a biege wool suit with brown accessories, white feather hat, and corsage of white orchids.

Mrs. Daughtry is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, where she was a member of Alpha Kappa Gamma, national women’s leadership fraternity; listed in “Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities,” a member of Kappa Delta Epsilon, national educational sorority, and was listed one of the thirteen outstanding seniors of her class. She is now a member of the Druid Hills High School faculty of Decatur, Ga.

Mr. Daughtry received his education in the schools of Adel, Ga., Georgia and Valdosta State College. He is employed by the first National Bank of Atlanta. The young couple are residing at 519 West Howard Street, Decatur, Ga.
