Obituary of Peggy Wigington Medley

WINNSBORO-Peggy Wigington Medley, 70, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024. Born in Columbia, SC, she was the daughter of the late Dillard and Norine Wigington and the wife of the late Robert Ray Medley.

Peggy was a member of El-Bethel Faith Community Church. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and going to the beach. She enjoyed supporting Relay for Life and would help raise money for them. In her honor, the family would like memorials in lieu of flowers to go to Relay for Life.    

Peggy is survived by her daughter, Rachelle Ballenger (Kris) of Lexington; son, Richard “Richie” Medley (Cassie) of Irmo; grandchildren, Brittany, Raquel, Tony, Alex, Kayla, Ana Rachel, Brayden; great-grandchildren, Maci, Leighton, Kinsley, Madelyn, Mabrey; and brothers, D.J. “Butch” Wigington (Pam) and James Allen Wigington. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rachel Medley Gibson; and a sister, Mary Ann Neil.
