Obituary of Ann Grooms Cobb

CAMDEN- A funeral service for Ann Grooms Cobb, 88, will be held Saturday at 9:00 a.m. at Mt. Hebron Freewill Baptist Church with burial to follow in Quaker Cemetery. The Rev. Jack Cobb will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.

    Mrs. Cobb, wife of the late Glenn Cobb, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. Born in Patrick, she was a daughter of the late William M. Grooms and Leila Brown Grooms. Mrs. Cobb was a member of El-Bethel Faith Community Church. She loved going to church and going on mission trips. She also enjoyed decorating and visiting and caring for others.

    Surviving are her children, Terry Cobb (Sandra) of Camden, Allen “Buddy” Cobb of Camden, Tony Cobb of Wilson, N.C.; a sister, Louise Hite of Hartsville; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by daughters, Karen Holland, Sheila Lee; and siblings, William Grooms, Grady Grooms, Paul Grooms, Don Grooms, Nora Outlaw, Leila Vaughn and Glenn Brown.
