Summerton, Feb. 27. – The district five basketball tournament opened here with three games Monday night.

Antioch (Hartsville) girls defeated the Blaney girls, 13 to 12; Elliott girls defeated Baron De Kalb, 9 to 14, and the Summerton boys defeated Elliott boys, 12 to 5.

Tuesday afternoon Antioch (Hartsville) boys defeated Antioch (Camden), 32 to 6;  Central girls defeated Gable girls, 32 to 6; Hillcrest boys defeated Sherwood boys, 24 to 18, and Summerton girls defeated Sherwood, 31 to 10.
