May 3, 1950 — June 22, 2024

Frank Wood, Jr., the son of Frank Wood Sr. and Irene M Wood, was born in Kershaw County on May 3, 1950. He entered into enteral rest on June 22, 2024, at his home in Elgin, South Carolina. Junior was educated in the public school system of Kershaw County. After high school, he moved to Maryland where he worked in various trucking jobs. After retirement, Junior relocated back home to South Carolina.

Junior enjoyed watching the Carolina Panthers play football. He also enjoyed hanging out with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Roscoe Wood, Nancy W. Brunson, Ronnie Wood, and Diane Wood; one nephew, Juan A. Wood.

Those left to cherish his memories include his two sisters, Eloise Wood of Elgin, South Carolina, and Priscilla (Venicent) Blair of Hanover, Maryland; one brother, Stanley (Louise) Wood; one aunt, RichDean Wood of Maryland; a special friend, Ms. Mozelle Bennett; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mr. Wood will be available for public viewing on Friday, June 28, 2024, from 3 PM to 6 PM at Collins Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 11 AM at Fort Clark Baptist Church.
