Obituary of Linda Marie Hunter Rawlinson

Camden – A service to celebrate the life of Linda Marie Hunter Rawlinson, 66, will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in St. James Pentecostal Deliverance Apostolic Church Cemetery in Red Hill.  Public viewing will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

 Mrs. Rawlinson, wife of the late Vincent Rawlinson, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Prisma Health Richland.  Born in Boykin, she was the daughter of the late Delfield Hunter and Idell Green Hunter Lawson.  She retired from the medical field as a CNA.  She was a member of Life in The Word Outreach Ministries in Camden where she faithfully attended and served as an Evangelist.  She enjoyed reading, cooking, sewing, working puzzles and word searches and playing games.  Her most cherished moments were the time she spent with her children and grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Stephanie Hunter of Camden and Johnneisa Heriot of Lugoff; step-children, Raquel Grooms, Rachel Grooms, Vincent Rawlinson, Jr., Joseph Rawlinson, Sr., Evan Rawlinson Sr., and Randi Lewis; sisters, Mary Salmond (Kenneth) of Camden and Annie Mae Dixon of Bishopville; brothers, Joseph Hunter of Bronx, N.Y. and Wendell Hunter (Vanessa) of Lugoff; grandchildren, Day’shia Allen, Johnashia Holloman, ElyJah Green, Carmoni Price, Journey Fickling, Joseph Rawlinson, Jr., Evan Rawlinson, Jr., Terrionna Martin and Neveah Rawlinson; godson, Earl Tyrell Warren; her beloved baby, Cairo Ace Allen; and a host of nieces and nephews.
