COUNT BOARD HAS CALLED OUT MANY REGISTRANTS

First Class of Class 1918 Ordered for Physical Examination – Registrants for Jackson and Wadsworth all this Week.

The county exemption board Saturday was engaged in issuing calls for the week. This will be the banner week of the board.

Registrants of the first class from the class of 1918 have been summoned to appear for their physical examination of Friday, the 26th. On the cards the hours at which the various groups are expected to present themselves before the board on Washington street are given.

On the same date 40 white registrants have been summoned for the purpose of being inducted into military service at Camp Jackson. The men are ordered to be on hand not later than 10 a.m.

The board issued on Saturday also a list of registrants from which 147 will be selected for induction into the military service at Camp Wadsworth, Spartanburg. These registrants were ordered to appear before the county board on Washington street next Saturday. The ones selected will leave here on the following Monday morning at 7:05 over the Southern Railway.
