David A. Trimnal was born on 26 Jan 1935 as the first child of Dalton Alexander Trimnal and Lila Juanita Davis Trimnal.

On June 30, 2009, David Trimnal was mentioned as the living brother in the obituary of Mrs Genevieve T “Jenny” Rogers.

2024

He died on 11 Aug 2024. He was buried on 14 Aug 2024 in Rembert, Sumter, South Carolina, USA at Episcopal Church of the Ascension Cemetery.

Obituary of David A. Trimnal

David A. Trimnal, son of the late Dalton and Juanita Trimnal died on August 11th, 2024.  He was predeceased by his two children, Jason Alexander and Heather Elizabeth Trimnal, also two sisters, Doris Wilson and Genevieve Rogers, five brothers Medford, James, Marion, Olin, Victor Trimnal.  He is survived by two special granddaughters, Whittni Francesca and SavanaGrace Alexander Trimnal.  David was also a member of the church of the Ascension for 50 + years, where he was a faithful member of the choir.  He served in the Air Force for 4 years and later worked for Dupont in welding from which he retired after 30 years.  He was a Mason and a member of Lodge # 188 of Spring Hill.

Things he enjoyed were people, crossword puzzles, the Clemson Tigers, singing in the choir, tending to his farm animals and gardening and drinking beer with friends. 

The family wishes special thanks to Jimmy and Margaret Ray, Jennifer Trimnal, Joe Bowers for dedicated help in David’s final months.

The funeral service will be held at Church of Ascension with burial in the Church cemetery on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at 1:00 p.m.  The service will be officiated by Father Joel Osborne and Father C.E. Owens.  Friends will meet after the service in the Parish House.   

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 from 5:00-6:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.
