LUGOFF – Funeral service for Barbara Cameron Branham, 82, will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Private family burial will be held in Fort Jackson National Cemetery, Columbia. The Rev. Dr. Charles Everett will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Trinity Baptist Church, 1062 Ridgeway Road, Lugoff, SC 29078.
Mrs. Branham passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024. Born in Camden, S.C., she was the daughter of the late John Thomas and Marie Heath Cameron. She retired from DuPont and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, reading and cheering on her Gamecocks. She was a faithful wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Donald E. Branham. Surviving are her children, Gina Yount (Ed) of Simpsonville, Donna Hughes (Mike) of Laurens, Donald E. “Bubba” Branham, Jr. of Lugoff, and Dr. Melody Johnson (Jay) of Lugoff; grandchildren, Ashton Yount (Jeremy Getman), Ward Yount (Brittni), Hunter Johnson, Alaine Ingram (Cameron), Claire Crenshaw (Jonah), Channing Hughes, Cameron Johnson, Austin Branham (Nicole), and Jess Hughes; great-grandchildren, Emma, Lukas, Malachi, and Callie; brothers, Carl E. Cameron and Leland H. Cameron; and sister, Betty Cameron Reynolds, all of Lugoff.
