Obituary of Peter Anderson

CAMDEN- Peter Anderson, 66, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025. Born in Camden he was a son of the late James Anderson, Carrie Brown Anderson and Acie Portee. Mr. Anderson enjoyed fishing and playing the drums.

Surviving are his wife, Marcella Ingram; daughters, Latoyia Green of Columbia, Tiana Anderson of Albany, N.Y.; sons, Jamar Anderson (Danielle) of Buffalo, N.Y.. Marcus Ingram of Camden; step-daughter, Crystal Simpkins of Camden; grandchildren, Chiyan Green-White, Micah Anderson, Mason Ingram; siblings, William Anderson (Kathy), Paul Anderson (Beverly), Mary Griffin (Dr. Nathaniel), Billy Portee (Shirley); a host of aunts and uncles and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives. He was preceded in death by a grandchild, Ja’Mari Johnson; and siblings, Juliette Thomas, Leroy Anderson, Louise McKenney, Betty Wilson, Sylvia Anderson, James Anderson, Jr., Edna Mae Williams, Lucinda Jane Portee, Acie Portee, Jr, Leroy Portee and Mary Frances Fletcher.

A memorial service for Mr. Anderson will be held Thursday, January 23 at 3:00 pm at Powers Funeral Home. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Staff of Agape Hospice.
