Obituary of Kathryn “Kathy” Louise Watts

ELGIN – A celebration of life service for Kathryn “Kathy” Louise Watts, 58, will be held Thursday, February 6 at 4:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home and an hour prior to the service from 3-4.

Ms. Watts passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. Born in Parma (Cleveland), OH, she was a daughter of the late Richard J. and Mary Ann Masek. Kathy enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, and taking care of her pets, Little Man, Kitty and Cheesey. She loved listening to classic rock and singing with her dog.

Surviving are her daughter, Jessica Smith (Brian) of Elgin; son, Johnathan Watts (Shelby) of TX; grandchildren, Beau Watts, Willow Watts, Edan Smith, McKenna Smith, Alexis Smith, Sadie Smith, Kinsley Smith; siblings, Patty Masek of West Columbia, Julie Lightsey (Bill) of AL, Kim Smith (Lamar) of GA, Jim Masek (Russell) of NC; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
