Johnny Carter Obituary

Johnny Lee Carter, age 69, died on Thursday, January 9, 2025.  Born in Charlotte, NC, he was the son of the late Frank Carter and Dorothy Howard Carter.  Johhny was the husband of Helen Williams Carter. 

In addition to his wife of 40 years, Johnny is survived by his daughter, Lauren Nicole Collins (Scot) of Indian Trail, NC; stepson, Grey Alan Hester (Terri) of Ashville, NC;  grandchildren, Brianne Collins and Braden Collins; step-grandchildren, Cabella Shelton (Sid)  and Jazza Hester; step-great-grandchildren, Layne Shelton, Emila Shelton and Casson Shelton; half-brother, Ronald Painter (Billie) of Charlotte, NC; sister, Frankie Honeycutt (Jimmy) of Charlotte, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Johnny was predeceased by his parents and his half-brother, Larry Painter.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel, is assisting the family.
