The appointment of the commission to care for the State house and grounds will be announced today. An appropriation of $15,000 is given for this work.

As a result of the notice of the death of Mr. John B. Phelps, who has served as judge of probate of Kershaw county for a number of years, the governor will probably order a special election to fill the vacancy some time in April.

Gov. Ansel has selected a dispensary auditor and will make the announcement today.
