Dr. and Mrs. James Frederick Turner of Columbia are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Meghan Elizabeth Turner of Columbia, to Henry Mc-Call Swink Jr. of Effingham. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Mc-Call Swink of Effingham.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Winfield Cundiff of Sunset Beach, NC, and Mrs. LaVonne Anson Turner and the late Mr. James Frederick Turner of Marietta, GA. A graduate of Hammond School, she received a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Wofford College and a Master’s of Healthcare Administration from the University of South Carolina. She is employed with Palmetto Health Baptist.

The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Nevitt Clark of Myrtle Beach and Mrs. Harriet McCall Swink and the late Mr. James Woodrow Swink Sr. of Effingham. A graduate of South Florence High School, he received a Bachelor of Arts in accounting from Clemson University. He is employed with McCall Farms.

The wedding is planned for April 24, 2010, at Woodcreek Farms Country Club in Elgin.
