ELGIN – Service for Mr. Frank Mendes will be held 2:00 p.m. (viewing 1:00 p.m.) Sunday at Oak Grove Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the church’s cemetery. Viewing will be held today beginning at noon at Leevy’s Funeral Home, Taylor Street Chapel. Surviving are his wife, Shirley Mendes; son, Joaquim (Louise) Custard; grandchildren, Joaquim, Shandon, and Darius Custard, and Jonisha Corson; a host of other loving relatives and friends.
