RIDGEWAY. S. C., March 30. -Miss Mary Evelyn Hartin has returned from a month’s visit to her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Hartin, in Birmingham, Ala. A feature of one her visit was attending grand opera.

Mrs. Verlin Barnette had as her guest last week-end her sister. Mrs. A. S. Barker, of Olar.

Mrs. R. M. Bolick spent last week-end with relatives in Columbia.

S. P. Thomas had as his guest for the week-end his daughters. Miss Sarah Thomas, who teaches in Shelby, N. C., and Miss Annie Thomas, who teaches in Hartsville.

Miss Gertrude Mayer, of Colunbia, spent the week-end with her mother, Mrs, Ben Mayer.

Miss Sarah Kennedy, supervisor of music in the Greenville city schools, spent the week-end with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Kennedy.

Buster Coloman, of Columbia and Samuel Mitchel, of Sumter, have been on a visit to their aunt, Mrs. R. M. Bolick.

Miss Nannie Tidwell. of Winthrop college, was at home during the spring holidays.

Heyward Stanley visited relatives in Hamlet, N. C., during the spring holidays.

Mrs. W. H Ruff, Jr., of Burlington, N.C. is visiting her mother Mrs. W. H. Ruff, Sr.

Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Bowen has as their guests on Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Eugene McCullum, of Florence.

Miss Susie Palmer is visiting her sister, Mrs. James Bradley, in Sumter.

Mrs. Kenneth Baldwin and little son, of Columbia, were guests of Mrs. Baldwin’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Kennedy, a few days the past week.

Miss Jean Starnes, who, teaches in Blaney, spent the week-end with her mother, Mrs. Sara Starnes.

Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Coleman had as their guest on Sunday, Mrs. J. K. Robinson and Miss Bernice Mae Robinson, of Florence.

Miss. Lula Hinnant, who teaches in Marion and Miss May Hinnant, who teaches in Orangeburg, were at home last week-end.

Miss Bertha Holt, of Columbia was the guest of Mrs. Verlin Barnette for the week-end.

Mr. and Mrs. Wylie H. Bouknight and little daughter, Mr and Mrs. W. A. Perry and family, of Columbia, were guests on Sunday of Mrs. W. Y. Hinnant.

Miss Isabel Boyd of Columbia, spent the week-end with her mother, Mrs. Delphine Boyd.
