Robert L. Smyrl Dies in Kershaw

Camden, March 7-(Special)-Robert Love Smyrl, 87, one of Kershaw county’s oldest citizens, died at his residence Friday after an illness of eight years.

Mr. Smyrl was a retired farmer and a member of the Old Flat Rock Masonic lodge.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 4:30 p.m. from the residence at Flint Hill with the Rev. J. B. Caston and the Rev. J. A. Faile in charge. Interment will be in the family plot on the plantation.

He is survived by three sons, Oscar Smyrl and William J. Smyrl of Camden and Henry L. Smyrl of Flint Hill; five daughters, Mrs. L. C. Shaw of Columbia. Mrs. Frank D. Cambell of Chester, Mrs. George A. Creed and Mrs. Fred Ogburn of Camden and Miss Minnie Smyrl of Flint Hill.
