MRS. EUGENE DANIELS

Crumpton-Daniels Marriage
BLANEY – (Special) – Lois Crumpton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Crumpton of Blaney, became the bride of Eugene Daniels, son of Mrs. Lonnie Daniels and the late Mr. Daniels of Columbia, at 8 p.m., Frebruary 11 at the Smyrna Methodist Church of Blaney, Rev. F. Oscar Smith, Jr., assisted by the Rev. Horace Chapman officiated at the double ring ceremony.
A program of wedding music was presented by J. Drayton Sutton, soloist, and Mrs. F. Oscar Smith, Jr., pianist.
The bride, given in marriage by her brother, Julian Crumpton, was lovely in her gown of white satin. The fitted bodice was fashioned with a pointed neckline and sleeves with a full skirt of white satin. Her fingertip veil was fastened to a pearl tiara and she wore a single strand of pearls. She carried a bride’s Bible topped with a purple throated orchid with satin streamers.
Mrs. John Daugherty of Richmond, Va, was matron of honor. She wore a street length dress of dahlia crystallite over taffeta with a round neckline, short sleeves and a full skirt with matching accessories She also carried a nose-gay of pink carnations.
Bridesmaids were Mrs. Cecil Johnson, Mrs. Robert Weidemann, Mrs. F. F. Weed, Jr., and Mrs. Pascal Driggers, all of Columbia. They wore dresses and headpieces styled as the matron of honor. They also carried nosegays of pink carnations.
Steve Hornsby of Columbia served as the bridegrooms’ best man.
Ushers were Sgt. Thomas Daniels of Sumter and Ray Wiedemann of Columbia.
Miss Janice Daugherty of Richmond, Va., niece of the bride was flower girl.
Ronnie Crumpton, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.
Immediately following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of Mrs. Robert Weideman in Columbia.
During the evening the bride and bridegroom left for a short wedding trip. For traveling, the bride wore a light blue wool dress with matching accessories, and the orchid lifted from her Bible.
Mr. Daniels is associated with Blackstone Heating and Plumbing Company. Mrs. Daniels employed in the office of Belk’s Department Store.
