Donnie Anthony Obituary

Mr. Donnie Ray Anthony departed this life on Sunday, March 30, 2025, in Camden, SC. He was born on March 24, 1956, in Kershaw, SC, to the late Mr. Belton and Mrs. Effie Bell Anthony. He was preceded in death by his son, Mr. Shedrick Lamont Beckham; and brother, Robert “Bob” Anthony.

Donnie was a God-loving, charismatic, and joyful man who cherished his family and friends. A graduate of Andrew Jackson High School, Class of 1974, he went on to earn his Associate Degree in Business from Columbia Commercial College. Known for his hard work and dedication, he retired from DuPont/Invista after 30 years, including 15 years in management, and received his Six Sigma certification. Donnie also worked at the Kershaw County Detention Center and contributed to Habitat for Humanity, obtaining his real estate license.

Throughout his life, Donnie was devoted to helping others and was well-known in the community for his kindness. He actively attended church and served as the Head Trustee. His hobbies included running, biking, traveling, and offering advice to those around him.

Although he is no longer with us in physical form, Donnie’s spirit will continue to inspire and uplift all who knew him. He leaves behind a wealth of memories filled with his warm smile.

Donnie is survived by the love of his life for over 36 years, Deborah Nelson Anthony; two daughters, Deonna Monique Anthony (Devon Moses), of Pensacola, FL, and Danelle Nicole Anthony of Camden, SC; he is also survived by his sister, Ann Patterson; brother, Eugene (Christine) Anthony, both of Kershaw, SC; sister in-law, Vernell Anthony; in addition, seven brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
