Obituary of Martha Queen Baker

Lugoff – A funeral service for Martha Queen Baker, 99, will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Cassatt Baptist Church in Cassatt, SC. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Baker passed away at home on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. Born in Westville, SC, she was the wife of the late Simon Baker and daughter of the late James McDonald and Daisey Jordan McDonald. She enjoyed her vegetable garden, animals, fishing, eating out, gospel music and playing spoons.

Surviving are her children, Patricia Taylor, Jeanette Harbin, Simon Tim Baker, Doris Thompson, Mark Baker; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by sons; Jerry Vanuel Baker, and John Wayne Baker.
