Alma was the epitome of warmth, love, and care. As a devoted homemaker, she found her greatest joy in nurturing her family and creating a home filled with love. She was a foster parent for 35 years. Her love for children was unmatched, and her home was always open for family, friends, and anyone in need of care. Alma’s skills in the kitchen were legendary, and her delightful home-cooked meals brought together people from all walks of life. Her collard greens, in particular, were a special delight. Her hobbies extended beyond the kitchen, as she loved fishing and tending to her garden, where her collard greens grew in abundance.

A woman of strong faith, Alma was a faithful member of Cantey Hill Baptist Church in Cassatt. Her belief in the Lord was unshakeable and provided her with strength and solace.

She has left behind her loving children, Lelia Mae Belton (Rev. J.R. Belton) of Cassatt, John Adams (Ruth Reynolds) of Camden, Carl Adams (Mary Adams) of Barnwell, S.C., Richard Adams (Shirley Adams) of Clarksville, Tenn., and Rachel Forman (Willie Forman) of Cassatt; sons-in-law, Edward Stover and Rev.
