Saluda. Nov. 30. – Wednesday afternoon Mrs. H. S. Farley was hostess to the Rook club. The home was decorated for the occasion. After a number of progressions Mrs. Farley served caramel ice cream topped with candy pumpkins and cake. On each table was a basket with turkey decorations and salted pecans. Score cards and napkins were both suggestive of the Thanksgiving season.

Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Feagle spent Thanksgiving with relatives at Thomson, Ga.

Guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. T. L. Edwards during the Thanksgiving holidays are Mr. and Mrs. O. L. Edwards of St. Charles and Mr. and Mrs. Alvis Richardson and John Alvis. Jr., of Simpsonville.

Miss Flonabel Elliott of Langley- Bath high school is the weekend guest of Miss Muriel White.

Glenn McCarty of the United States navy, who is staying at Hampton Roads, Va., is on a visit to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. B. McCarty.

W. B. McCarty and E. L. Corley were participating in a deer hunt last week at the Denmark hunting grounds.

Miss Esther Butler of Meggett is spending some time with her sister, Mrs. J. L. Butler.

Mr. and Mrs. P. B. Waters of Blaney were here for the weekend.
