Cambridge boys hoops defeats Orangeburg Prep
The Cambridge boys basketball team earned a 60–53 victory Saturday over Orangeburg Prep in the SCISA Challenge.
GHS wrestling wins at Eagles Nest Duals
The Greenwood boys wrestling team finished in second place at the Eagles Nest Duals with strong performances over Belton-Honea Path High School, Palmetto, and Catawba Ridge. The team fell in the championship match against Lugoff-Elgin.
The Greenwood girls wrestling team claimed the championship after finishing in a tie with Blythewood and Boiling Springs and winning the tiebreaker. The girls also earned victories over Sumter, A.L.A. Lexington, Boiling Springs, Greenville, and South Pointe.
LU wrestling finishes fourth at NWCA event
The sixth-ranked Lander wrestling team closed out the 2026 NWCA National Duals with a fourth-place finish after facing two of the nation’s top-three teams on Saturday at the UNI Dome. The Bearcats fell 30–6 to top-ranked Central Oklahoma in the semifinals and then lost by the same score to third-ranked Wisconsin–Parkside in the third-place match.
Erskine men, women fall to Mount Olive
The Erskine College women’s basketball team was defeated by the University of Mount Olive, 104–57.
The Erskine men’s basketball team also fell to Mount Olive, 97–67.
Lander women, men defeat Augusta
Quadaija Langley sank two clutch free throws in the final seconds to secure a 66–65 victory for the Lander women’s basketball team over Augusta. Langley finished with a game-high 22 points.
On the men’s side, the Bearcats rallied from six points down in the final 18 seconds to force overtime to down Augusta 82–80.

The Saluda girls basketball team defeated Newberry 46–38. Leading the Tigers were Ceddrianna Springs with 20 points and JaBria Brunson with 16 points.
