Patricia Goff Motley Obituary
ELGIN- A celebration of life service for Patricia Goff Motley, 88, will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Union Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agape Hospice.
Mrs. Motley, wife of the late Harold Glenn “Bud” Motley, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026 at her home. Born in Blaney, she was a daughter of the late Ira Otis and Liddia Perry Goff. Mrs. Motley was a member of Union Baptist Church. She had a love for music, dressing up, and shopping online, through magazines or QVC. Mrs. Motley enjoyed spending time in her yard, doing yardwork, decorating, and tending to flowers and her garden. She was a woman of strong opinions and would always make sure to stay on top of things. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her passion.
Surviving are her son, William “Bill” Motley (Virginia) of Elgin; grandsons, Glenn Motley (Kim) of Elgin, Mitchell Motley (Niki) of Lugoff, Zackery “Zack” Motley of Elgin; great-grandchildren, Weston, Patti, Elloree; a sister, Derice Dehon of Chapin; and cherished family, Helen and Al Register. She was predeceased by siblings, Mary Pate, Gladys Potter, Preston Goff, Bobby Goff, Betty Brazell and Larry Goff.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Laura, RN and the entire agape care team.
