Jo Ann Wolfe Obituary

Jo Ann Wolfe passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at MUSC Columbia Northeast Hospital.  Born in Charleston, W.V., she was the daughter of the late Arnold and Marguerite Flippen Wolfe.

Ms. Wolfe  was a woman of many talents and passions. She was a devoted homemaker, who took great pride in creating a warm and loving environment for her family. She was not simply a homemaker, however; she was a mother, a friend, a mentor, and a creative spirit who brought joy and comfort to everyone she met. She raised four boys, and cherished her time as a band mom, 4H Leader and Den Mother, always going above and beyond to support them in their pursuits. Jo Ann also had an inherent knack for crocheting and costume-making, hobbies that she pursued with fervor and joy. These hobbies were not just pastimes for Jo Ann, they were extensions of her love and care, threads that wove together the fabric of her family’s life. She was former owner of JoJo’s Costumes and a Montgomery Wards Franchise.

Ms. Wolfe was preceded in death by her sisters, Jean Parker and Betty Turner.  She is survived by her sons, Dana Fleming (Hilda) of Elgin, Sean Fleming of Cross Lanes, W.V., Eric Fleming (Michelle) of Indian Wells, Calif., and Scott Fleming (Christina) of Columbia, S.C.; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
