Pedestrian in Kershaw Co. hit-and-run identified

A pedestrian was struck and killed by an unknown vehicle in Kershaw County early Friday morning. The SC Highway Patrol reported the pedestrian, identified by Kershaw County Coroner Johnny Fellers as Derk Lawrence Maricle, 50, of Lugoff, was walking north on Blaney Road around 2 a.m. when he was struck by the vehicle.
