DEATH IN CAMDEN
Mr. W. R. Nelson Passes Away After an Illness of Several Weeks.

Camden, Aug. 18. – Mr. W. R. Nelson of this town passed away Saturday after several weeks of sickness, in the 39th year of his age.
Mr. Nelson was born in West Wateree and farmed until two years ago, when he moved to town on account of the better school facilities to be had here for his children. Only a year ago his wife died, leaving him with four small children. He was universally liked and esteemed by his fellow citizens, while his family loss is irreparable.
The funeral took place on Sunday afternoon from the home of the deceased on Broad street, the Rev. Alston Earle of the Methodist church officiating.
Dr. J. H. Alexander, Messrs. L. T. Mills, William Latta, Jas. DeLoache, W. D. Whitaker, and T. B. McClain acted as pallbearers.
