Camden, Sep. 13. – Rev. A. B. Earle, pastor of the Lyttleton Street Methodist church, died here this morning at 10 o’clock. His health began failing some six months ago and despite his patient efforts for relief he has been gradually growing weaker. His father and several brothers died in their prime of the same malady and Mr. Earle looked upon his illness as fatal from the first attack. He was born in Charleston on Feb. 4th, 1865, and spent his boyhood days in that city. In 1887 he was graduated from Wofford college and shortly afterwards entered the ministry. He has been a member of South Carolina conference for 17 years. On June 15, he married Miss Carrie Kirby of Spartanburg, who with eight children survive him. The funeral services will be conducted by the presiding elder, Rev. H. B. Browne, at the Lyttleton Street Methodist church, tomorrow, Wednesday afternoon, at 4 o’clock and the remains will be interred in the Quaker cemetery.
