Mr. Jno. C. P. Williams

It was with sincere regret that we learned of the death of Mr. Jno. C. P. Williams which occurred on the 25th of January. Mr. Williams was a Confederate Soldier and served with conspicuous gallantry through that great struggle. For a number of years he was postmaster at Ridgeway and at one time was associated with Gen. J. B. Kershaw in the practice of law in Camden. At the time of his death he was a school teacher in West Wateree. His death occurred at the home of his brother, Mr. R. B. Williams and the burial was at Smyrna Church.
