James Sanders was in fact the child of English Albert and Miriam Hayes as given on his death certificate. The name given as his father in so many family papers, is that of William Allen Sanders. This can not be correct, as it was in fact William himself who provided the information on the certificate of death. William Allen Sanders and James Sanders were half brothers. I have presumed William helped to raise James which is where the confusion started.
