A. J. Twitty of Camden Dies Hospital Here

A. J. Twitty, 58, a resident of Camden, died at the Columbia hospital Saturday evening at 8:30 o’olock from a complication of kidney diseases from which he had suffered for several months.

Funeral services will be held at Bethany Baptist church, Westville, Kershaw county, Monday afternoon at 3 o’clock.

Mr. Twitty is survived by his widow and four children, Leroy and Archie Twitty and Misses Lillie and Theo Twitty, all of Camden.

A J. Twitty of near Camden died at 9 o’clock last night at the Columbia hospital. Mr. Twitty was a retired farmer and was well known in Camden. Funeral arrangements had nor been made last night.

ANDREW JACKSON TWITTY DIES AT HOSPITAL HERE

Funeral services for Andrew Jackson Twitty, 57, who died Sunday evening at the Columbia hospital after an illness of one year, were held Monday morning at the Bethany Baptist church in Kershaw county, conducted by Rev. P. E. Blackman, pastor. Interment was in the church yard. The body was taken to Westville, S. C., Monday morning at 7 o’clock.

Mr. Twitty was a member of the Bethany Baptist church. He is survived by his widow, of Kershaw county, two daughters, Mrs. Theodore Gaskin of Columbia, Mrs. Lilly Carnes of Camden, and two sons, B. L. Twitty and A. L. Twitty of Camden.

Funeral servuces for Andrew Jackson Twitty, 57, farmer of Kershaw county, who died Saturday at the Columbia hospital after a long illness, will be held at 11 o’clock this morning at Bethany Baptist church in Kershaw county, of which he was a member, conducted by the Rev. P. E. Blackman. Interment will follow in the churchyard.

A highly respected citizen in the community, news of Mr. Twitty’s death has caused much sorrow.

Besides his widow, he in survived by two daughters, two daughters, Mrs. Theo Gaskin of Columbia, Mrs. Lilly Carnes of Camden; and two sons, B. L. Twitty and A. L. Twitty of Camden; also by four brothers.
