Funeral Services for Blaney Youth

Camden, October 21. – Funeral services for Rembert Sanders, 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. Warren D. Sanders (Corrie Vernell Motley Sanders) of Blaney, who was instantly killed on the Camden-Columbia highway, near Blaney, Tuesday night, October 20, 1931, will be held at Union Baptist church Thursday morning, October 22, 1931, at 11 o’clock.

Young Sanders met death when his car collided with another car driven by State Highway Patrolman Leo Jenkins, near Blaney. Mr. Jenkins is confined to the Camden hospital suffering from a scalp would and shock. Knowlton Thornton of Blaney and two young women from Blythewood in the Sanders car were slightly injured but were given surgical treatment by Dr. W. D. Grigsby at Blaney and returned to their homes. No inquest will be held.
