Funeral services for Mrs. Annie M Nelson, 71, who died yesterday afternoon at her home in Pinehurst after an illness of several months, will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock from Tabernacle Baptist Church by the Rev. A. B. Kennedy, pastor, assisted by Rev. A. L. Willis, pastor of Union Baptist Church, and the Rev. A. L. Sanders, pastor of Colonial Heights Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Union Baptist Church, near Blaney.
A native of Blaney, Mrs. Nelson was the wife of N. C. Nelson and had lived in Columbia for 21 years. She was first married to J. L. Ross, who died in 1906, and her second marriage to Mr. Nelson in 1909. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist church.
Surviving are her husband; five daughters, Mrs. E. D. Derrick, Mrs. H. F. Hughes, Mrs. S. W. Sharp, Mrs. E. P. Ashley, all of Columbia, and Mrs. Taylor Watson, Spartanburg; a son F. J. Ross, Charleston; three brothers, J. I Rose, L. P. Rose and S. W. Rose, all of Blaney; 25 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be: active, E. D. Derrick, Edmund Nelson, Dewey Sharp, J. C. Sharpe, grandsons of Mrs. Nelson. Earl Armstrong and Ralph Kendrick: honorary, Dr. J. E. Boone, G. W. Jordan, W. L. Odom, C. I. Simons, F. P. Gaines, Ellebe Ross, A. J. Jordan, W. E. Salter, A. D. Reynolds, B. J. Kelly and J. Drake Edens.
Active pallbearers will met at 1:30 tomorrow at McCormick’s Mortuary, where the body will remain until time for services. Honorary pallbearers will meet at the church at 2 o’clock.

Mrs. Annie M Nelson, 71, wife of N. C. Nelson, died at her home in Pinehurst at 3 o’clock yesterday afternoon after an illness of several months.
Mrs. Nelson was a native of Blaney and made her home in Columbia for the past 21 years. She was a devoted member of Tabernacle Baptist church. She was twice married, first to J. L. Ross who died in 1906. Her second marriage was to Mr. Nelson in 1909.
She is survived by her husband; five daughters, Mrs. E. D. Derrick, Mrs. H. F. Hughes, Mrs. S. W. Sharp, Mrs. E. P. Ashley, all of Columbia, and Mrs. Taylor Watson, Spartanburg; a son F. J. Ross, Charleston; three brothers, J. I Rose, L. P. Rose and S. W. Rose, all of Blaney; 25 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
