Mrs. Young, 72, of Kershaw

KERSHAW – (Special) – Mrs. Mary Hornsby Young, 72, died Tuesday afternoon in a Camden hospital.

She was born in Kershaw County, a daughter of the late Joseph Hornsby and Mrs. Susan Pace Hornsby.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4 o’clock Wednesday afternoon from Bethany Westville Baptist Church by the Rev. David Pittman, the Rev. Thurman Carnes and the Rev. Harold P. Wells. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, F. E. Young; one daughter, Mrs. Everette Catoe of Kershaw; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Nannie Workman of Camden and Mrs. Etta Goff of Blaney, and three brothers, C. E. Herbert and McKinley Hornsby of Camden and Sam Hornsby of Columbia.
