Mrs. Coleman Rites Will Be on Tuesday
Funeral services for Mrs. Eula Jacobs Coleman will be held Tuesday at 4 p.m. in Spears Creek Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Claude Hightower and the Rev. George Walker. Interment will be in the churchyard.
Active pallbearers will be Earl Jacobs, Martin Roberts, Walter Medlin, Lindsay Brazell, Colie Coleman and Charles Branham.
Honorary pallbearers will be Christian Brown, H. T. Jacobs, L. W. Smith, David Smith, A. M. McNair, Oscar Ford, W. D. Brazell, Herman Brazell, B. P. Brazell, Lever Brazell, Vernon Brazell, Wesley Brazell, Roy Hornsby, Hazel Jacobs, Ernest Roberts, Walter Rose, Ernest Pace, Lexie Moak, George Jacobs, Welch Dennis, Walter Dailey, L. L. Legrand, Robert Rose, Rhett Jacobs, Roger Ellisor, Joe Youngblood, Melton Medlin, Walter Delk, and deacons of Spears Creek Baptist Church.
Mrs. Coleman, 78, of Pontiac, died Sunday at the Columbia Hospital after a long illness.
She was born in Richland County, the daughter of the late William P. and Martha Ann Jacobs. She was a member of the Spears Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are four sons, Rufus, Ensley, and Railford Coleman, all of Pontiac, and Willie Coleman of Denstville; three daughters, Mrs. Jessie Brazell, Mrs. C. E. Rose, both of Pontiac, and Mrs. Laura Gunter of Dentsville; 31 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren. Also a sister, Mrs. Mary Meetze of Columbia.
