MULLINS – Elbert A. Lane, 67, of the Smithboro community of Marion County, died at his residence Tuesday.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Meares Chapel with interment in Cedardale Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Kate Kindall Lane; three sons, Edwin E., Latta, and Larry E. and Gene (Buck) Lane of Lake City; one daughter, Mrs. John B. Devall of Tokoma Park, Md., two brothers, Carroll of Temperance Hill and Vance Lane, Winston – Salem, N. C., and three sisters, Mrs. Evander Drew of Mullins, Mrs. Charlie Johnson of Latta and Mrs. Memory Suggs of Elgin.
