On May 25, 1929, Herbert Brazell married Rosa Stubbs in Winnsboro, Fairfield County, South Carolina.

1940 Census Information:

According to the United States census reported on April 10, 1940, Herbert Brazell (32), rented a house in Winnsboro Mills, Fairfield County, South Carolina with his wife; Rosa L Brazell (28) and their children; Cornelia Brazell (9), Juanita Brazell (7), Joan C Brazell (5), Herbert Brazell, Jr. (5), William L Brazell (2). All family members were reported to have been born in South Carolina and lived in the same house on April 1, 1935. Herbert Brazell was a frame hand at a cotton mill.

1968

WINNSBORO – Herbert Brazell, 62, died Tuesday, December 25, 1968, in a local hospital.

He was born in Blaney, son of the late Will Brazell and Carrie Brazell. He was a retired Uniroyal employe.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Rosa Stubbs Brazell; three daughters, Mrs. Cornelia Frances Carnell of Columbia, Mrs. Juanita Geddings and Mrs. Carrie Peak of Winnsboro; two sons, Herbert Brazell Jr. and Billy Brazell of Winnsboro; two sisters Mrs. Kate Tucker of Chester, Mrs. Daisy Keith of Society Hill.

Funeral will be at 4 p.m. Thursday in the Church of God, with burial in Winnsboro Mills Cemetery.
