George Warmsley Baldwin, 73, of Rt. 2, Elgin, died Wednesday in VA Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 4 p.m. in Pisgah Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. J. W. Johnston and the Rev. W. A. Jackson. Burial will be in church cemetery.

Mr. Baldwin was born in Richland County, son of the late Georgianna and James H. Baldwin. He was a retired farmer and a member of Pisgah Methodist Church.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mary South Baldwin; two sons, John R. Baldwin and George W. Baldwin Jr., both of Columbia: 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

The family is at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Baldwin at 1704 Thorndike Drive, Columbia.

Pallbearers will be Harry H. Swindier, Bill Sharpe, Hoy Bundrick, Allen Brockman, Lewis Koneman and Ray Craft.
