Retired Merchant W. T. Jacobs Dies

Wilton Thomas Jacobs, 65, of 7240 Clifford Drive, a retired merchant, died Saturday in Richland Memorial Hospital.

Born in Richland County, he was a son of the late Wade Hampton and Laura Jacobs. He was a member of the Spears Creek Baptist Church and the Elks Club.

Mr. Jacobs operated a store in Pontiac for 25 years prior to his retirement.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Naomi Wilson Jacobs; a daughter, Mrs. Cathy Lee of Columbia; two sons, Beverly T. and Vernon C. Jacobs of Columbia; two sisters, Mrs. Lois Lippard and Mrs. Evetta Jacobs of Pontiac; two brothers, A. L. Sr. and Hazel O. Jacobs of Houston, Tex.; and five grandchildren.

Plans will be announced by Dunbar Funeral Home.

JACOBS RITES

Funeral services for Wilton Thomas Jacobs were held today in Spears Creek Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. T. F. Howell and the Rev. Everett Reconnu.

Pallbearers were Julius Birchmore, A. L. Jacobs, Jr., Randolph Delk, Larry Jacobs, Ronny Jacobs, and Bill Ellisor.
